Bomb disposal officers defused Thursday an improvised explosive device (IED) near Police station of Mit Salsil in Dakahlia governorate. No casualties have been reported. Security forces received intel about an explosive devise near the police station, placed by unidentified assailants, who have thrown fireworks on the station as well. Nearby streets were barricaded and bomb squad officers as well as civil security units were deployed to the scene to inspect the area. The attack is the latest in a series of similar incidents targeting police personnel and checkpoints in several parts of the country.
