Armed forces killed 100 Wilayat Sinai militants during the past 24 hours in northern Sinai, Sky News reported late Friday. The army killed 100 militants in south of Sheikh Zuwaid in northern Sinai, as a result of the recent terrorist attacks that took place in Sheikh Zuwaid, which left which left 15 soldiers and two civilians dead. The terrorist attacks targeted seven security checkpoints on the coastal road between the town of El Arish and the Rafah border with the Gaza Strip. Military Apache helicopters conducted Thursday air raids on militants' hideouts in Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah, leaving 35 dead. North Sinai security Director, Maj. General Ali Al Azzazi revealed Thursday that military ground forces killed 16 militants, adding that the wounded were rushed to El Arish international hospital for treatment.
