The U.S.-led international coalition killed 17 Islamic State (IS) militants in Kirkuk, Iraq, Al Bawaba News reported Wednesday. A source from the Kurdish Peshmerga forces said that the coalition's warplanes launched several raids targeting 7 IS sites in Al Riyadh district, western Kirkuk, killing 17 militants and destroying 2 cougars and a weapon store. Since June 2014, Kirkuk has witnessed intense clashes between the Peshmerga forces and IS militants who took control of the city.
