Egyptian armed forces killed 28 elements and wounded 12 others from Wilayet Sinai militant group Thursday in intensive air strikes targeting the hotbeds of the terrorist group in North Sinai, Sky News Arabia reported. The Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against the Sinai-based Wilayat Sinai terrorist group, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
