2 civilians killed in an explosion northeast of Baghdad

At least two civilians were killed and seven others injured Tuesday in an explosion northeast of Baqubah city some 50 km northeast of Baghdad, according to security sources.
The sources added that an improvised explosive device was detonated on the side of the main road in Muqdadiyah causing panic among locals.
The vicinity of the explosion was barricaded by security forces, as bomb disposal officers and civil protection forces scanned the area for other potential threat and evidence.
