Algerian army killed three Islamist militants in Ain Defla city 150 km southwest of the Algerian capital Algiers on Tuesday, according to the Algerian Defense ministry. "During anti-terrorist operations, an army unit killed three terrorists after an attempted ambush," the military stated. The ministry said it has seized two AK74 assault rifles and a large quantity of ammunition and explosives during its security campaign. Al-Qaeda affiliated groups in the Islamic Maghreb carried out a series of terrorist attacks in 2014, mainly targeting security forces.
