A war of allegiance has erupted between ISIS and Al Qaeda, as ISIS is seeking to replace Al Qaeda as the leader of the Jihad in the world. In Yemen, the Ansar Al Sharia group has dissented from Al Qaeda and pledged allegiance to ISIS on Wednesday. "We nullify our allegiance to Sheikh Ayman Al Zawahri, Al Qaeda's leader in Yemen, and pledge allegiance to to the Caliph of the Muslims, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi," the statement of Ansar Al Sharia read. They announced the formation of armed brigades to kill Shiite in Yemen. The leader of the AQ-affiliated group in Syria Al Nusra Front, Abu Mohamed Al Julani, is also set to pledge allegiance to ISIS in the next few days, according to "Mozmager Al Sham", a jihadist Twitter account. Al Qaeda's expansion in Yemen has diminished since the Houthis seized control of the capital Sanaa and overthrew the former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi on January 22.
