I had the honor of meeting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to interview him for Al Bawaba Magazine. He spoke to me for the first time, about the Agora Island project that Israel intends to implement by agreement with Hamas. The President added that Turkey had sponsored a meeting concerned with implementing the agreement. The project, for the formation of a Palestinian state in the Gaza strip, was proposed by retired Major General Agora Island, the Israeli National Security Advisor. This state would eventually include the cities of Rafah, Arish and Sheikh Zuweid and would be used for the settlement of Palestinian refugees and to resolve the Palestinian issue, once and for all. The project has disregarded the right of the Palestinians to Jerusalem being recognized as the capital of the Palestinian state. It has given away their right to return to their homeland and has allowed Hamas to replace the Palestinian Authority. At the time of the interview, these details sounded rather strange. However, the events that followed confirmed what President Abu Mazen had said. All the information available now, after the latest incidents, of Karm Al Kawadis and Battalion 101, has confirmed the Hamas plan which is supported by Qatar, Turkey, Israel and the U.S. The aim of these operations is to exert pressure on the Egyptian Army in Sinai, in preparation for the grabbing of an area of 1600 kilometers. Hamas would then fabricate a war with Israel, after which the Israeli forces would invade the Strip. At the same time the Ezz El Din Al Kassam Brigades, Hamas' terrorist arm, would force Palestinians to cross the border barrier to settle in this part of Sinai. The situation after that would be frozen, and whosoever had been harmed would have to resort to the UN. Therefore there was nothing strange about Hamas smuggling into northern Sinai, more than two thousand fighters of the Ezz El Din Al Kassam Brigades. They have also managed to buy an enormous amount of weapons from Libya that they have stored in secret warehouses in Sinai. These arms are meant to be used in the first phase of the assault against the Egyptian Army. The Brigades are to be joined by Ansar Beit Al Makdis in the second phase, to maintain and defend the new status quo. Speaking after the last Sinai assault, President Abel Fattah Al Sisi confirmed that the political leadership was fully aware of these evil plans. He was decisive when he stated that Egypt would never give up Sinai and that members of the Armed Forces would rather die than give up an inch of Egyptian territory. He said, "Sinai is ours and we shall develop it and purge it of the terrorists." The President did not stop at making this statement. He went on to issue an order to consolidate the entire region to the East of the Suez Canal under a single commander, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, whose mission is to combat terrorism and develop the region. Abu Mazen exposed the International Brotherhood Organization when he confirmed that this same project was adopted by the ousted President Mohamed Morsi Al Ayat just after Israel attacked the Gaza Strip in 2012, as demonstrated by his offering Sinai on a golden platter to the Israelis and the Americans. Implementation of this project was the dream of U.S. President Obama, up to the day of the 30 June Revolution. This revolution wiped out the hopes and dreams of Obama, Netanyahu, Morsi Al Ayat, Khaled Mashal and all the traitors who had been weaving wicked plots to undermine the safety and security of this country. Head of the Snake The snake's head, "Hamas", did not stop its activities, especially after the parent organization was removed from power in Egypt. Its leaders soon decided on a devilish plan to exploit the terrorists who had been installed in Sinai when Morsi was in office. They began by uniting all the forces under the banner of Ezz El Din Al Kassam, which is the terrorist arm of the Hamas movement. Their plan was to mount serious attacks against the Egyptian Armed forces, with special attention being paid to the units stationed in the area earmarked for seizure and settlement. Theirs was a futile attempt to expel the Egyptian Army from the region with a view to annexing it to Gaza in the future, after the mock invasion agreed upon by Hamas and Israel. Thus the long-awaited state would be formed and the Arab-Israeli conflict would be declared at an end, against a background of treason and villainy, with Hamas replacing the Palestinian Authority. Israel wanted to use the Agora Island project to solve the demographic problem, since the Palestinian population is growing apace. This in itself is a threat to the mere existence of Israel in the future. The Zionist state is trying to circumvent this, either by endorsing this project or by declaring itself a Jewish state. Therefore, Lieutenant General Osama Askar's main mission is quite vast. He will need to dry up all the sources of logistic support rendered by Hamas, and its terrorist arm, the Ezz El Din Al Kassam Brigades, especially the sources providing weapons, equipment and money. He will also need to stop the influx of recruits from the Beit Al Makdis organization, and those sent by the so-called Islamic State, (IS), to Sinai. We know that this task is not a simple one. IS sends its soldiers through Turkey. Turkish intelligence then facilitates their entry to Egypt using tourist or student visas. Once they land at Sharm Al Sheikh or Cairo airport they are picked up by the terrorist Brotherhood organization's people, or their supporters, and are sent to North Sinai across carefully selected paths that are well-known to the Organization. During his term as commander of the Third Army, Lieutenant General Osama Askar succeeded in achieving unprecedented results in a very short span of time. He was able to block the terrorists' entry to central Sinai and he stopped them reaching south Sinai, where they would have had a bad effect on tourism. He also managed to cooperate with the south and central Sinai Bedouins in the development of these areas and in raising the standard of living. In this way, he was able to bring the entire region under military control. Egypt's political leadership and its people hope that Lt Gen. Askar will apply this experience in the northern part of Sinai. Still, there are some other solutions and measures, to deter terrorism and block its plans, which have become urgent in view of the present circumstances. They include: One: Expediting the issuing of the Anti-Terrorism Law, so as to eliminate all the security and legislative loopholes that are being used by the terrorists and their supporters to undermine the Egyptian State. Two: Setting up emergency state security courts to handle all the defects in the anti-terrorism legislation. Three: Implementing some emergency security and intelligence procedures, including: 1- Besieging the Beit Al Makdis organization and cutting off its communication channels. 2- Imposing strict security on airports to prevent the influx of terrorist elements, especially from Turkey, Tunisia, the North African states and Sudan. 3- Studying the Syrian and Iraqi status quo, investigating the operating modes of organizations like the IS and Al Nosra and training our personnel to counter these tactics. 4- Establishing good relations with the Sinai tribes, encouraging them to cooperate with the army, supporting them and protecting them from the terrorists. 5- Fast deciphering of the terrorist organizations' wireless codes and eavesdropping on their communications. 6- Deploying pilotless airplanes in the skies of Sinai and using modern techniques for eavesdropping and surveillance. 7- Reacting instantaneously to hostilities, and training for preparedness. 8- Making use of the Iraqi, Kurdish and Afghan experience in handling suicide attacks, and studying these attacks through what is happening in Syria and Iraq. 9- Thwarting the Organization's attempts to create a shelter for itself within the Sinai community. 10- Intensifying media warnings regarding the Organization's continued presence in Sinai and its summary execution of any tribesmen who oppose them.
