EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini confirmed Tuesday, during a press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister, Ibrahim al-Jaafari that her visit to Iraq was very important. "EU knows the challenges that the Iraqi people face in the fight against Islamic State in Iraq and sham ISIS", Mogherini said. She stressed that EU will help Iraqi people in the fight against ISIS, noting that this battle is not only important for all Iraqis but also for all Europeans. She added that the battle against ISIS needed many years, it being a cultural war rather than just a military one.
