A team of restoration specialists at Giza conducts the first restoration and maintenance process of the Sphinx statue at Meet Raheena museum, under the supervision of archaeologist Gharib Sonbol. The statue weighs about 30 tons and metal scaffolding was built around it to conduct a mechanical cleaning process from the dust. It is noteworthy to mention that this statue is the second largest statue in Egypt, whereas the Great Sphinx of Giza is the largest.
