Sexy, classy and classic are the trends of this fall and winter. Amany Abdel-Moneim measures up the latest With fall and winter coming, perhaps your wardrobe is in need of a dire revamp. During Milan Fashion Week held that month, prominent fashion houses presented the following few fashion trends that you may want to consider. Waist has returned. Whether on a belted swing coat, a curvy dress or pencil skirt, the emphasis is on the waist. The fitted classic sheath style dress provides a much-needed antidote to the trapeze styled dresses of this past summer. The seriously girlie frock is also out, for now anyway. The dresses are sexier and edgier and well fitted, but not skin tight -- dresses will remain comfortable. The hem line is mid knee to well below the knee. Grey and purple are the two popular colours this season, as well as all shades of brown and camel. However, designers did a smashing job at making otherwise bland colours pop. All the classic fall/winter colours such as brown, black, taupe, winter white, and many shades of grey, as well as dark rich blues seem to be prevalent in abundance. Other colours like sapphire blue, claret red, maroon, deep gold's, rusts and eggplant were seen on winter 2013 fashion shows. As for evening wear, many designers used soft pastels in shades of soft blush pink, and silvery soft blues tones to create gowns that were fabulously feminine and old Hollywood sexy. And for those who love the colour black, designers have used it in many fashion looks mixed up with dark grey, stark white, as well as lots of shades of dark mid-night blue. Winter white as always holds its place this year in fashion. The designers have used winter white alone to make a soft statement. However, they also mix it up. Adding white to soft creams to bold colour make a fashion splash this season. Feminine styles are so in this season. Dresses have made their way back into the limelight, and are very fashion trendy this season. Most dresses are styled to fall just above the knees. Hemlines are up and down, and dress lines are easy on the figure, and styled to enhance the curves. Also blouses are a bit sexy, and fitted to flatter a women's figure this winter. The key is to keep them girlie and feminine. So, too, the classic tailored fitted man's shirts with long sleeves and belted will be cute with skinny jeans.
