AFTER years of waiting, EgyptAir has launched an Arabic language website www.egyptair.com/arabic, helping the Arabic community across the Middle East and all over the world to book their flights with added ease and convenience.
In a press conference held in Cairo last week, EgyptAir Chairman Alaa Ashour described the new service as an added value to the airline's scheme to provide advanced services. "The new dedicated Arabic website reflects our commitment to providing our customers with the highest level of services," said Ashour. "Our customer will enjoy an option to choose the language to browse the web site and obtain the required information and book the desired services.
In the last year over one million people have visited our English language site to either make a booking or simply browse our online services. We are confident that our Arabic language site will also be well frequented and utilize."
Services available through the website in its two versions, English and Arabic, include online check-in, flex price system to get the best price options over a whole week, the ability to pre-select seats, and special meal requests for specific dietary requirements. It also shows special offers and promotional fares.
"Our customers can also review their booking statue; arrival and departure timing as well as a month timetable of flights accessible through mobile phones, PDA or laptops," he indicated.
The Arabic version also displays all information related to luggage as well as tracking lost bags. A detailed map showing the airline's complete network of destinations is provided to guide passengers while browsing on line.
Additional travel advice and recommendations help passengers learn more about Egypt visa procedures and medical certificates required by some countries. A travel guide is also displayed on the Arabic web site. "We care for those who require special needs who will find more services provided to make them enjoy a convenient and easy flight experience," Ashour added.
Through the Arabic version, passengers can obtain "e check-in" service and even print out their boarding pass 48 hours before the take off. "All these and more add to the current service provided through mobile to book and issue tickets, select seats and meals on www.mobile.egyptair.com.
