The project merges the conceptualizations of young French designers with Egyptian artisans through a growing portfolio of pieces derived from their collaborative work. Each object reflects an encounter between designer and artisan – inspiring the birth of beautiful, functional, useful and innovative design objects. In support of the World Design Days (13-15 April), TakeCaire will transform the Factory Shop into a concept store telling the story of the project through a display of design objects. TakeCaire, is a startup project concerned with the preservation of traditional Egyptian know-how, the sustainability of local artisanal communities and the support of young designers' immersion in the resources Egypt offers (13-24 April, 12pm - 9pm (closed 19 & 20 April).
