KOURTNEY Kardashian, the 38-year-old American TV star, recently arrived in Egypt for a brief visit. Accompanied by a friend, Younes Bendjima, Kardashian visited historic sites and the beach in Egypt's North Coast. Top Ministry of Antiquities officials accompanied Kardashian, who co-stars in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and Bendijma during their tour of the ancient sites. “Kardashian was impressed with the Pharaohs' legacy, saying she was obsessed with it ever since she was a little kid and always dreamed of being an Egyptologist in order to discover the secrets of the Pharaohs,” one official said. It was not the first time for foreign celebrities to visit Egypt this year to promote tourism. In May American movie star Will Smith was in the country for a few days during which he also visited Egypt's historic sites.
