Published in Bikya Masr on 14 - 10 - 2011

DUBAI: The reality star Kim Kardashian landed in Dubai on Wednesday morning on an Emirates flight coming from New York. She expressed her excitement via tweeting off the flight that “Serious Sex & The City swag going on, on this airplane to Dubai! The best plane I've ever been on!!! Dubai are u ready???”
Once she arrived she tweeted “Just touched down in Dubai! I'm so happy to be here!”
Kardashian was quickly whisked through the VIP area of Dubai International Airport and headed straight to her hotel, Atlantis, which she had specifically requested for her visit.
Regarding her schedule for the first visit day Wednesday, Kardashian spent the day going to the spa and having lunch in a VIP cabana at Nasimi, where she feasted on Mediterranean and Asian food. She then headed to Dolphin Bay and finished with an evening camel ride.
On the other side, Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner arrived shortly after, coming in on a separate flight. Kris tweeted when she arrived, “Wow I'm in such awe over Dubai! My hotel is so, insane, can't wait to do some blogs & show u guys! Too much to tweet! I'm obsessed with Dubai!”
To experience the UAE style, the Emirati designer Hend Al Mutawa had designed two abayas especially for Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner.
“I've been working on this for about a month ever since I heard she was coming,” said Al Mutawa of her shiny, flowy creation, which has been left at the Kardashians' luxury suite at Atlantis, The Palm. She continued “I wanted to change perceptions about wearing an abaya and wanted to show to her and her fans that you can still be elegant when wearing it. As a fan of her and her show, I know her style and the kind of things she likes to wear. I hope she will wear it while she is here.”
Kardashian has big plans for her UAE trip and an even bigger schedule to keep. As the American star has been offered everything from designing a Kim-inspired abaya to creating a Kardashian cupcake as well as opening the first Millions of Milkshakes store outside of the US.
Kardashian will also dine with her UAE fans at the Arab Al Han restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The deal is as follows, the fan who pays 2000 DHS on Friday, will dine and see Kim up close and take pictures with her and enjoy a rich platter of Lebanese and Palestinian food.
Also The VIP tables, which are essentially your meal ticket to sit closer to Kardashian table, will set you back by Dhs 5,000 per person.
