Real Madrid's Jese ruled out until the end of the season Jese Rodriguez will be out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Wednesday's match against Schalke
Real Madrid's promising forward Jesé Rodríguez suffered a huge blow on Wednesday after suffering an injury that will put him out for the rest of the season. The 21-year old player was a starter against Schalke in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday but left the game after only eight minutes. “After undergoing a scan and imaging test in the Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital, our player Jesé Rodríguez has been diagnosed with a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee,” said a statement posted on the club's website on Tuesday. Rodríguez emerged as a very promising player under coach Carlo Ancelotti, who provided the necessary space for him to develop his talent. The Spanish forward has already been tipped to get a place in Vicente Del Bosque's 23-man squad for the World Cup in Brazil this summer. “I think it has been confirmed that Jesé has torn his cruciate ligament. He was unlucky. I think that the whole of Real Madrid has been unlucky. We are going to lose a very important player, a young man who has done very well this season and surprised everyone,” Ancelotti was quoted as saying on Real Madrid's website.
