Zamalek goalkeeper Abdel-Wahed Al-Sayed revealed that he only tore the posterior cruciate ligament of his knee and not his anterior cruciate ligament as was once diagnosed. Al-Sayed, who picked up the injury on April 17th during a team training, was diagnosed to have tore his anterior cruciate ligament and that he would be sidelined for six months. “I underwent a successful posterior cruciate ligament surgery in my knee two days ago and I'll be back in the fields in about three months' time to catch the new season kick-off,” Al-Sayed told FilGoal.com exclusively from Germany on Friday. “I'm very happy that it isn't my anterior cruciate ligament, now I can able to return more quickly,” he added. The Egypt shot-stopper also said that he will stay in Germany for two weeks before returning to Cairo and that he will start physical therapy after six weeks before playing normally after three months.
