Zamalek goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed ripped his cruciate ligament during his team's training on Monday and will be sidelined for up to six months. “I picked up the injury on Monday and underwent a scan that showed a tear in the cruciate ligament. I think it'll take me up to six months to fully recuperate,” Al-Sayed told FilGoal.com exclusively on Tuesday. “I will undergo surgery in Germany on the expense of former board member Mamdouh Abbas, who will also take care of my rehabilitation period. I hope I can recover before the beginning of next season,” Al-Sayed added. The talented goalkeeper also insisted that he wasn't worried about signing a new deal with Zamalek and said that he has received other local and European offers, last of which was from second-division club Sheffield United, who were promoted to the Premiership earlier this week. Al-Sayed, whose contract expires in the summer, revealed that he would be willing to pen a new extension deal with Zamalek on condition that they meet his terms.
