Ahly's El-Said admits to Zamalek talks The classy forward says that Zamalek have made enquiries via mediators about his future with Ahly in order to prepare an offer for him this summer
Ahly's forward Abdallah El-Said admitted on Monday that Zamalek had opened talks with him "through mediators,'' but denied that any direct negotiations had taken place between him and the club. The 29-year-old's contract expires this summer and the player's fate remains unclear after he refused to renew his contract. Several reports have linked the player for a move to Zamalek, who failed to hire him three years earlier when El-Said opted instead for Ahly. "There is no direct negotiation between me and Zamalek," El-Said told Ahram Sports on Monday. "They made an enquiry via mediators about my future with Ahly," he said. "My situation at Ahly is unclear. They want to renew my contract, but I informed the club that I want to receive my delayed salary before talking about a new contract." On Monday, the former Ismaily forward was fined LE50,000 for his touchline with teammate Ahmed Shedid during Sunday's training session.
