Ahly set date for 'world's most successful club' gala
Egyptian president and prime minister are invited to gala celebrating Ahly overtaking AC Milan as most successful club in world football

Ahly will celebrate being the most successful club in world football on 26 March.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) issued a statement on 24 February confirming Ahly had won more internationally recognised titles than any other club, overtaking AC Milan.
The Cairo giants will invite FIFA president Sepp Blatter, CAF president Issa Hayatou and AC Milan vice-president and CEO Adriano Galliani to attend the event.
The Egyptian president and prime minister are also invited, Ahly said in a statement.
Ahly won their 19th international trophy last month – their sixth African Super Cup title – sending a blow to AC Milan whose officials regularly claim the Italian club's 18 international trophies make it the most successful club in the world.
The club has won eight African Champions League titles, four African Cup Winners Cups, six African Super Cups and one Afro-Asian Cup.
