Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Wednesday warned of the worsening situation and rising tensions in the region in recent days, reiterating Egypt's firm rejection of any expansion of the conflict, the Middle East News Agency reported. Speaking during a Cabinet meeting, Madbouly stressed the need to stop Israeli military operations across regional fronts, warning that continued escalation would severely harm all peoples in the region — and potentially the world at large. He said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had underlined, in meetings and phone calls with several world leaders, the importance of a more active international role in urging regional players to act responsibly. Madbouly added that President Sisi had affirmed that peaceful solutions remain the only path to ensuring security and stability in the region. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S.
