Thomas Ince and Joe Ledley scored on their debut for Crystal Palace as the London club continued its recovery with a 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Palace has taken 16 points from a maximum 21 at home under manager Tony Pulis, who took over after Ian Holloway resigned last October with the Premier League club five points adrift of safety. Saturday's win lifted Palace to 13th place, three points above the relegation zone. Ince opened the scoring in the 15th minute by clipping the ball over Ben Foster from Yannick Bolasie's pass. Ince then turned provider with a corner that Ledley sent into the net with a powerful header. Thievy Bifouma pulled one back after the interval before Marouane Chamakh sealed the game from the penalty spot.
