Egypt's Gedo and Elmohamady play as Hull win in FA Cup Egypt striker Gedo played the full 90 minutes during Hull City's 2-0 win over Middlesbrough in England FA Cup on Saturday despite departure claims
Egypt striker Mohamed "Gedo" Nagy joined Hull City's lineup during the 2-0 win over Middlebrough in England's FA Cup round of 32 on Saturday. Hull City striker Aaron McLean scored an early goal ten minutes after the start to give his side an early lead while Nick Proschwitz doubled the score in the 61st minute to give the Tigers a place in the 16th round of the tournament. The 29-year-old striker Gedo, who seems close to a return to his home team Ahly from Hull City, unfortunately played the full 90 minutes during the game. Gedo joined Hull City on a six-month loan deal in August from Ahly last summer, but he made few appearances with the Tigers in the Premier League this season. It was Gedo's second stint at Humberside after his half-season loan last winter. Gedo impressed by scoring five goals and played a key role in helping Hull City seal promotion to the elite Premier League. Fellow Egyptian Ahmed Elmohamady who succeeded to book a regular place in Hull City squad this season also was included in the starting lineup during Middlesbrough game but he was substituted ten minutes before the final whistle.
