Ghana coach expects 'tough game ' against USA in World Cup Despite being in the same group with Germany and Portugal, Ghana's coach believes the game against USA will be the toughest
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah said on Sunday that the game against USA in the World Cup opener will be "very tough" for his team. The Black Stars were drawn in Group G along with European heavyweights Germany and Portugal but Appiah believes USA will provide them with the stiffest test. "For me the most difficult game would be the USA because we have beaten them twice," he told Ghanasoccernet on Sunday. "Germany is a good team and so is Portugal. The USA has been winning most of their games, and all the teams in Brazil are good." Appiah insisted that his side must not draw on their past experience against USA, calling on his players to avoid complacency. "There will be a lot of surprises in the World Cup" he added. "We need to psychologically work on the boys to get them prepared, because there could be traces of complacency that would need to be expunged ahead of that game."
