Zamalek winger Hazem Emam will likely miss the start of the domestic season, out for three weeks due to a muscle injury. The 25-year-old failed to complete Zamalek's training session last Monday, citing groin pains. The team's doctor, Moustafa El-Mounayeri, revealed on Thursday that Emam would need three weeks of treatment to recover from a groin tear. Domestic league play begins on 26 December. Emam was instrumental in Zamalek's triumphant Egypt Cup campaign. He also impressed in last month's World Cup playoff against Ghana.
