Ghana's mounting defensive problems ahead of a vital World Cup playoff against Egypt show no signs of abating after John Boye was ruled out of both legs
Recent reports said the 26-year-old would only miss the first leg but, according to Ghanasoccernet.com, he will require surgery that will sideline him for two months.
That means the Stade Rennes defender will not be available when Ghana face Egypt in the second leg in Cairo on 19 November.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will also have to do without fellow injured defenders Isaac Vorsah and Jonathan Mensah when the Black Stars host Egypt in Kumasi on 15 October.
Egypt are eyeing their first World Cup appearance since 1990, while Ghana are seeking to reach the tournament for the third consecutive time, having reached the quarter finals in their last appearance in 2010.
