MB says members can only join ‘Freedom and Justice Party'
The Muslim Brotherhood denies members the right to join a political party other than the one formed by the organisation

The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's largest opposition group, declared on its website Tuesday that its members can only join the Freedom and Justice Party.
Shortly after the ouster of president Hosni Mubarak following Egypt's 25 January uprising, the Brotherhood announced on 22 February their decision to form a political party under the name of Freedom and Justice.
The Freedom and Justice Party is the first Muslim Brotherhood party to be formed since the group went underground after being banned decades ago under the pretext that religious parties were illegal.
The Muslim Brotherhood has also emphasised that will run candidates in the next parliamentary elections but will not be nominating a candidate for president.
