Ahly defender Wael Gomaa and striker El-Sayed Hamdi will be available for Egypt's friendly game against Ghana on 10 January after the club agreed to release only two of their international players. The Red Devils will face Saudi club Al-Hilal in a friendly game on 11 January, one day after Egypt take on Ghana in the United Arab Emirates as part of their preparations for March's World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe. Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz and Egypt coach Bob Bradley have agreed that veteran defender Gomaa and forward Hamdi, who is enjoying a fine run of form, will join up with Egypt ahead of the Ghana friendly "Only Gomaa and Hamdi will be available for the national team from the beginning of the UAE training camp. The other international players will join them after Al-Hilal friendly," Ahly said on their official website. The seven-time African champions will be able to call up the rest of Ahly's players when they face Ivory Coast in another friendly game on 14 January. Egypt, who recently defeated Qatar 2-0 in friendly, will host Zimbabwe in March in their third match in the World Cup qualifiers' group stage. The Pharaohs top Group G with six points from two games, three ahead of second-placed Guinea. Zimbabwe and Mozambique have one point each.
