The Choir began in May 2010 as part of the international Complaints Choir, a project initiated by two Finnish artists who wanted to use up the immense energy wasted in complaining into something more productive. After a six-day workshop in Cairo, participants' complaints were turned into song. This independent project managed by Salam Yousry holds regular workshops, each with a different theme. The result of the workshop is then presented in a 10-15 minute show.
