Government spokesman says bailout package for Cyprus has been agreed with EU and IMF, details to be confirmed later on Friday

Cyprus has agreed a bailout package with the European Union and the IMF and the deal will be confirmed later on Friday by the lenders, the island's government spokesman said on Friday.
"We are awaiting the official announcement from Brussels in the afternoon," spokesman Stefanos Stefanou told reporters.
The government is already briefing political leaders and social partners on the terms of the deal, Stefanou added.
