Elmohamady couldn't heal Sunderland's wounds
Sunderland have lost to Tottenham 1-2 in day 27 of the English premier league on Saturday as Asamoah Gyan scored his 10th goal of the season, but Spurs came from behind to snatch the three points

With the appearance of Egyptian star Elmohamady, Sunderland suffered their thirdconsecutive defeat and second straightreverse at home when Spurs came from behind and snatched the 1-2 victory.
Asamoah Gyan fired the Black Cats into an early lead after a red hot start but Steve Bruce's men ran out of steam after Michael Dawson headed an equalizer just before half time.
Niko Kranjcar smashed home the winner just before the hour and Spurs didn't encounter too many problems in closing out the result, barring a shot from Kieran Richardson which hit the woodwork.
Manager Bruce made use of Pharaohs' midfielder Elmohamady as he selected him in the 75th minute to replace Malbranque.
It wasn't to be for Bruce's men, though, as Spurs closed the game out well to give their bid for Champions' League qualification next season a huge shot in the arm.
Sunderland maintained their seventh place in the English Premier League with 37 points, while Tottenham placed fourth with 47 points, two points behind Chelsea who are in the third.
