Suez at San Sebastian
The Egyptian film "Moug" (Waves), directed by Ahmed Nour, was awarded the Cinema in Motion 8 Award at San Sebastian International Film Festival (21-29 September)

At the 60th San Sebastian International Film Festival, the young Egyptian director from Suez Ahmed Nour was awardedCinema in Motion 8 award for and his film Moug (Waves), an artistic combination of documentary footage, archive images, animation and voice over. In it the director tells the story ofhis generation, born under Mubarak in the early 1980s,and of his forgotten home city, Suez, which triggered the revolution.
The film received a grant of €10,000 in aid towards post-production from the CNC (Centre National du Cinéma et de l'Image Animée), another €5000 towards post-production by the Dubai International Film Festival, as well as €10,000 for sound mixing at Mactari in Paris.
