Egypt are seeking to arrange a new friendly game on 11 September after Nigeria turned down an invitation to face the Pharaohs, the team's assistant coach Diaa El-Sayed said on Tuesday. “Nigeria refused to face us on 11 September in Cairo; they wanted to play the game in Europe. We are now looking for an alternative,” El-Sayed said in a television interview. Egypt, who are reeling following their surprising failure to qualify for next year's African Nations Cup, will also face Benin on 7 September. They will not play any competitive games until next year, when they host Zimbabwe in their third Group G game in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers in March. Egypt are on top of the group with six points from two games after beating Mozambique and Guinea.
