Mido and Shikaballa still on Zamalek's squad Zamalek's duo Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido' and Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikaballa' not yet excluded from next season's squad
Zamalek announced on Wednesday that Ghanaian defender Karimu AlHassan and three young players – Ahmed Qatawy, Mohamed Mohsen and Ahmed Abdel-Qader – will not be included in the team's squad for the next season. Striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido' and forward Mahmoud Abdel Razek are Keeping their place on the team's squad despite resigned coach Shehata concerning the departure of the two players. Shehata recommended that Mido should leave having failed to make an impression during the last season, while he insisted on the departure of Shikaballa as result for their touchline during Zamalek's 2-0 win over Maghreb Fes on the CAF Champions League, two weeks ago. The coach who guided the Pharaohs to three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles has resigned after the Zamalek board failed to take action against Shikaballa. Zamalek are still trying to convince Shehata to return to his post, promising the coach to answer his demands. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter:@AO Sports)
