Five people were killed and two injured after a five-floor building collapsed Friday in downtown Damanhur, in Egypt's Behaira governorate. The victims were residents of the building whose ages ranged from 39 to 75 years old. The two injured were sent to the hospital to receive treatment. The prosecution is currently investigating the cause of the building's collapse. Governor Hisham Amana of Behaira stated that the governorate evacuated three houses beside the building to ensure their safety. He also added that the buildings will be inspected and reviewed to ensure their safety.
