Alexandria-based club Pharco reached the Egyptian Premier League for the first time by defeating Bani Ebid 3-0 on the final day of the second division league on Thursday. Ahmed Awad scored twice while Ahmed Fahmi added the third, allowing the club to book a historical place in the elite division. Thursday's win fired Pharco to the top of their Group with 64 points on level with Harras El-Hodoud, but the former advanced to the Premier League due to their better goal difference. Founded in 2010, Pharco was promoted to the second division in the season of 2014/2015. They were close to reaching the first division last term, but they struggled in the final meters of the competition, giving the chance to Ghazl El-Mahalla to book their Group ticket for the Premier League. The team is led by coach Magdi Abdel-Atti, who helped Aswan reach the Premier League two seasons earlier. The representatives of Cairo and Upper Egypt's Group are yet to be decided.
