Egyptian midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou played the 90th-minute pass that made Ittihad Jeddah's victory against Uzbek team Pakhtakor on Wednesday, day five of the AFC Champions League group stages round. The 28-year-old produced an excellent performance during the game before making an assist to his teammate Mohammad Abou Sabaan, who scored the second goal for Ittihad Jeddah at the 90th minute. Nayef Hazazi had opened the scoring at the 60th minute but Pakhtakor's Irakli Klimiashvili scored the equalizer eight minutes later. Thanks to this victory, the Saudi club has reached the competition's round 16 as top of group B with 13 points, six points ahead of Pakhtakor, the second (7 points). Abd-Rabou who joined Ittihad Jeddah on a six-month loan deal has been instrumental in the Saudi squad since his arrival in January. According to the Saudi press, Ittihad Jeddah coach Raul Caneda has asked the club management to make Abde-Rabou's deal permanent.
