Lebanese author, composer and producer Elias Rahbani died Monday at the age of 83 after a long struggle with illness, local media reported on Monday. Lebanon's well-established musician who is known for composing most of the Arab diva Fairouz, composed more than 2500 songs as well as soundtracks for 25 films and series. He is the younger brother of the late Mansour and Ass Rahbani. The Rahbani brothers formed a unique artistic trio that shaped the music scene in the Arab world for decades.
