Tagore Film Festival - Last Day of screening in the Artistic Creativity Centre at 6pm
The last day of screening of the festival will feature the following films: Char Adhyaya by Kumar Shahani (feature film), Rabindranath Tagore by Satyajit Ray (documentary). The festival is held in commemoration to the 150th anniversary of the famous Indian poet, who reshaped the country's' music and literature.

French Evening with Cairo Opera Orchestra in Cairo Opera House at 8pm
Cairo Opera Orchestra conducted by Dominique Rouits with soloists Nathalie Espallier (Mezzo Soprano), Georges Wanis (Ténor) and Manal Mohei El-Din (Harp) will perform works by Bizet, Debussy, Delibes, Saint-Saëns, Gounod, Massenet. More information here.

Musical tribute to Tharwat Okasha at Cairo Opera House at 8pm
The Prague Mixed Choir, A Capella Choir and the Cairo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jiří Petrdlík will perform Dvorak's Stabat Mater. The concert is dedicated to the memory of Tharwat Okasha who passed away last February. More information here.

The Golden Calfby Kareem El-Qurity in Al-Masar Gallery
Born in 1982, Kareem El-Qurity represents the Egyptian art movement's fifth generation.The Golden Calf willbe the first solo exhibition for the gallery's youngest artist. El-Qurity recreates the story of Apis using the vocabulary of contemporary art. Read our review here.

Screening of winners of Luxor African Short Films Festival in the Artistic Creativity Centre at 6pm
For three consecutive days the Artistic Creativity Centre at the Cairo Opera House will host screenings of the films that won awards in the festival that took place in Luxor last February. Tonight's selection includes winning films from Morocco, Sudan, Nigeria and Cameron.

Opening of We were there too… exhibition by Street Children at Townhouse Gallery at 7pm
The street children filled Tahrir Square at different points finally finding a safe haven, and as the revolutionary year went by were labelled as 'thugs' with 47 of them appearing before military courts. In this exhibit 20 children paint their hopes, fears and despairs.

Zabaleen & AboMariam bands celebrate Earth Day at El-Sawy Culturewheel at 8pm
Zabaleen who use recyclable materials and trash cans to make music will share a stage with emerging post-revolution duo AboMariam for an evening of environmental awareness along with local environmental conservation initiatives.

Shubra Lineexhibition at Artellewa Gallery
This collaborative installation exhibition brings the work of artists Mina Nasr and Yara El-Mekawi. Through sounds and sketches of live-sized people on the walls of Artellwa's gallery space the artists take viewers through a short journey on the Cairo metro.
