Egypt national team skipper Ahmed Elmohamady extended his stay with the English Premier League side Aston Villa for one more season, according to the club's official website. The 31-year-old fullback's contract was supposed to finish by the end of the current season. He made over 40 appearances with the Claret and Blue since joining the club from Hull City. "Elmohamady contributed two goals and provided the crucial assist for Anwar El-Ghazi's opener in the play-off final at Wembley," read a statement on the club's official website. "He has started both of Villa's Premier League encounters so far this season and is closing in on a century of appearances for the club," the statement added.
