Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi greeted the Egyptian people on Tuesday on the 67th anniversary of the 23 July Revolution of 1952. "The 23 July Revolution reflected the Egyptian people's will to start a new phase of building their country based on the principles of justice and dignity," the Egyptian president said on his Facebook page.
President El-Sisi attended on Monday the graduation ceremony of a new batch of cadets from Egypt's military academies and the Armed Forces Technical Institute.
The president highlighted that the graduation ceremony coincides with the 67th anniversary of Egypt's July Revolution.
"[The July Revolution] is a precious page in the history of Egypt. It defended the nation's future and managed to change life in the country, making a radical change in the history of modern Egypt," El-Sisi said.
The president also saluted late Egyptian president Gamal Abdel-Nasser, who led the July Revolution, as well as late president Anwar El-Sadat and late president Mohamed Naguib, both of whom played major roles in the revolution.
