CAIRO, July 21, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed on Saturday the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets at the Police Academy in New Cairo. For his part, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq welcomed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, saying that the graduation of the new police cadets ensures that the Egyptian security march is determined to achieve aspirations of having a safer tomorrow with less crime rates. Addressing the ceremony, the interior minister said that the Egyptian police managed to take key steps in fighting criminal and terrorist activities, asserting that they are well aware of the size of threats facing the Arab region. Tawfiq pointed out that the security strategy is based on basic pillars that seek backing all aspects of stability and maintaining security in all domains. The interior minister asserted his ministry's keenness on promoting the human elements and upgrading their capabilities. The minister expressed appreciation for the Armed Forces, terming them as the nation's shield, highlighting the relations of integration and strong coherence binding Egypt's police and Armed Forces. Addressing the fresh cadets, Tawfiq said that "today you will take the oath to protect the homeland". He extended greetings to their families. The national march is going ahead towards progress, development and prosperity under the wise leadership of president Sisi, Tawfiq added. He hailed Sisi's keenness on strengthening the foundations of the Egyptian State and pushing forward the development march.
