Cameroon's striker Joel Tagueu has been removed from the Indomitable Lions' list for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations due to heart problems, the Cameroonian Football Federation announced on Monday. "Bad news from Cameroon's delegation in Egypt. Joel Tagueu was excluded from the team's list," read a statement of the Cameroonian Football Federation on Monday. "Medical reports confirmed that the player will not be able to play in the Nations Cup. "The player suffers coronary dysfunction and there is a risk on his life." The statement added that the player suffered problems during the team's training camp in Qatar ahead the Nations Cup, and he underwent further examinations in Egypt that confirmed the case. Cameroon said that they will launch an appeal to the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) to replace the player. "We are all sorry to reveal this bad news and all the players are very sad." The 25-year-old, who plays for Portuguese side Maritmo, has made five appearances with Cameroon, scoring once. Cameroon play in Group F with Benin, Ghana and GuineaBissau.
