Moderate sand- and dust-rattling winds are expected in the northern part of the country and the Sinai region on Thursday and in the western cities on Friday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority said on its official website.
The windy weather is likely to disturb navigation in the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday and in the western part of the sea on Friday.
Rain is expected in parts of the border South Sinai governorate on Thursday, while the rest of the country is predicted to remain dry through Friday.
High temperatures are forecast at 20 and 22 degrees Celsius and lows at 12 and 11 in Cairo and the Nile Delta governorates on Thursday and Friday respectively.
The Mediterranean city of Alexandria will see highs of 19 C and lows of 10 C on Thursday. Friday will be around two degrees warmer during the daytime.
The popular Red Sea resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada will see highs of 25 C and lows of 14 C in both days.
The southern part of Upper Egypt will see summer-like temperatures during the daytime, with highs of 29, but weather there will be wintry at night with lows of 10 on both days.
