On Tuesday evening, Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram attended the play Selfie Maa Al-Mout (A Selfie with Death) at Miami Theatre on Talaat Harb Street in Downtown Cairo. The play is produced by the Comedy Theatre Company and is written by and stars TV actress Nashwa Mustafa, who is back on stage after many years of absence. Also present was theatre company director Ahmed El-Sayed as well as a number of artists and media personalities. Minister Makram praised the quality of the show and its production values. She also applauded the brilliant performance by Mustafa, saying that she mastered the role. Makram also called for the show to tour Egypt's governorates in the near future, as it discusses a number of critical issues of importance to Egyptian citizens as well as challenges facing the country. The play has music composed by Khaled Dagher, décor by Ahmed Hashish, costume design by Dina Fathi, lighting by Abu Bakr El-Sherif, and is directed by Mohamed Allam. It is currently showing at Miami Theatre at 8pm every day except on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
