EgyptAir flight MS 995 from Cairo to Toronto made an emergency landing on Tuesday in Dublin, Ireland after one of the passengers suffered a health crisis, according to a statement by EgyptAir. According to EgyptAir's chairman Ahmed Adel, flight attendants administered first aid; however, the passenger was in need of more advanced healthcare. Upon arrival at Dublin airport, an ambulance was called and the passenger was taken off the flight for immediate treatment. A few hours later, the plane resumed its journey to Toronto. Adel stressed that EgyptAir gives the utmost priority to the safety of its passengers.
