Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said in a meeting with a delegation from the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) that a fair and comprehensive solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would strongly influence the security of the entire region, Egyptian presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady said in a statement on Tuesday. "Fair and comprehensive solution to this [Palestinian] issue will create a new reality in the region, especially on the level of the public opinion, which will strongly influence the security of the entire region," El-Sisi stressed during the meeting, according to the statement. El-Sisi highlighted Egypt's support for international efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement for the Palestinian cause in accordance with agreed international terms and on the basis of a two-state solution. The meeting was attended by Egypt's acting intelligence chief Abbas Kamel and many members of the JINSA delegation in Cairo. Rady also said that the officials discussed the latest regional and international developments. In regard to resolving crises in the region, El-Sisi stressed the importance of preserving the the integrity of nation-states while supporting national institutions so they may carry out their duties to maintain security and combat terrorism. Officials at the meeting also expressed Egypt's keenness to continue communication with all sectors of the American society in order to enhance common understanding. Meanwhile, the US delegation affirmed the importance of the strategic relations between Egypt and the United States in all fields, expressing its appreciation for the Egyptian efforts in various crises in the Middle East. The delegation has also praised Egypt's role in economic achievements as well as countering terrorism in general and in particular the comprehensive Operation Sinai 2018 that was launched in February 2018.
