Recently-crowned league champions Ahly will be looking to continue their superb winning streak when they visit Smouha in Alexandria on Sunday. After securing the league title with six weeks to spare, a commendable Ahly side still coasted to a16th consecutive victory with a 2-1 defeat of lowly Tanta last week. Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry did not introduce numerous changes to his starting line up in the Tanta win, with keeper Ali Lotfi and midfielder Akram Tawfik the two notable starters. But El-Badry is likely to make bigger changes this time around, with a host of first-teamers missing out due to different reasons. Keeper Sherif Ekramy, Tunisia left-back Ali Maaloul, center-back duo Saad Samir and Ramy Rabia plus midfielder Amr El-Sulaya and winger Phakamani Mahlambi are all nursing respective injuries. Egypt right-back Ahmed Fathi is rested for the game, while under-fire playmaker Abdallah El-Said has been left out for the second consecutive game as Ahly are set to loan him out to the Saudi league. Top-scorer Walid Azaro is out as he serves automatic suspension. Ahly are top with a massive 17-point gap with second-placed Ismaily, while Smouha are fifth with 46 points.
