Russia coach Stanislav Cherchesov said he had paid a recent visit to England to monitor Egyptian players in the Premier League. Egypt were drawn in Group A of the World Cup alongside hosts Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. The Pharaohs kick off their first World Cup campaign in 28 years against Uruguay before meeting Russia and then Saudi Arabia in their next two games. "I recently travelled to England to watch some of Egypt's leading players in action," Cherchesov told FIFA official website on Tuesday. "Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, Mohamed Elneny at Arsenal, and the pair at West Bromwich [Albion]. I'm sure that they too will have changed a lot compared to last year." Mohamed Salah has taken the Premier League by storm since joining Liverpool from Roma last summer, but compatriot Mohamed Elneny is struggling to play regular first-team football at Arsenal. Defender Ahmed Hegazi is a regular member in the heart of West Brom's defence but teammate Ali Gabr is still awaiting his debut after joining the club on a six-month loan deal from Egypt's Zamalek in January. Stoke City Winger Ramadan Sobhi fell out favor with the team's coach Paul Lambert, having last played on 20 January.
