Zamalek kept new coach Ehab Galal looking for a new win after another below-par performance saw them settle for a dull 0-0 draw with El-Entag El-Harby in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday. Galal's debut was spoiled last week when Zamalek slumped to an embarrassing 3-0 Cairo derby defeat by Ahly and the team extended their winless run to three matches following the draw against El-Entag. The White Knights almost lost hopes of challenging for the league title and they will now face an uphill climb to finish as runners-up and earn an African Champions League spot. They slipped to fifth in the table with 29 points, a massive 12 behind leaders Ismaily and 10 behind second-placed Ahly, who have two matches in hand. Zamalek were hardly troubled at the back but struggled to break down El-Entag at the other end. They could have gone ahead on three occasions in the first half though. Congolese forward Kabongo Kasongo sent a bicycle kick wide after being found unmarked by right-wing cross after five minutes and playmaker Ayman Hefni hit the side netting on 28 minutes after a pull-back from Mohamed El-Shami. A Kasongo header narrowly missed the target on the stroke of halftime and he also headed over the bar with the goal at his mercy early in the second half. Zamalek were lethargic afterwards, failing to mount threats. Lone striker Bassem Morsi, who once again produced a disappointing display, was taken off but the introduction of forward Salah Ashour and winger Ahmed Madbouli failed to spur Zamalek into action.
